When We Are Closed

Emergency medical care outwith surgery hours (18:00 – 08:00 weekdays and all weekend) is provided through NHS 24. You will be connected to a specialist nurse who will be able to give you advice, arrange for you to be seen at an out of hours centre or arrange a home visit if appropriate. Please telephone 111.

NHS 24 will hold basic information on their computer system. Telephone calls may be recorded. You can get information about NHS 24 from its website: www.nhs24.com.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
